Black skies of night
And days of gray
From where we lay
It's all the same
Though time isn't frozen
Our world is still
YOur last words echoing
Though you've disappeared
The hands that held me can hold no more
Your light once shining no longer burns
And I know you are hidden away out of my reach
But my eyes are closed
And now I dream

The author's comments:
I actually was in the middle of language arts class, and the teacher was talking about grammar, and an odd sensation hit me. I picked up my pen and the words came tumbling out in my grammar notebook. I tore the page out and took it home to keep forever. The only person who could've inspired this doesn't know, but all my work comes from that source.
