Sitting here praying
I realize how far I’ve come
I used to be skeptical
Of everything I heard

Though I believed in God
I never really showed it
I lived in a world where everyone believed
But few actually showed it

I used to convert people
Just because I was supposed to
But I never really cared
About the soul within the person

I’d see bad things happen
But never really cared
As to whether they were saved
Or whether they were destined for hell

But I’ve changed
Now I care
I want to reach out and
Help someone
Give someone
A lift

Now it matters
Where their soul
Is destined for
Where they’ll
Spend eternity

I want to help someone
Help someone…

Though it’s not easy
I believe I can
Make a difference
In the lives of many

I believe I can show them
The Way, the Truth and the Life
I’ll need God’s help
But I can do it!

Yes I can!
