I wish that no one ever taught you
How to say goodbye
I wish that no one ever told me
What it means to die

I wish that no one ever shared
These memories of pain
I wish that no one ever tried
To break our fragile chain

I know you care, I watch it burn
That strength from deep inside you
Fierce memories of live long past
Of which I won’t remind you

But when you feel the time has come
To return yourself to me
Lift yout stranger's hands skyward
Let your ghost pass through me
