I looked at the stars tonight
Shining in Your sky.
I thought of how those beautiful lights,
Are the twinkles in Your eye.

I looked at the smiling sun today
That rises and sets at Your command.
I felt the urge to chase that son
And run, laughing into Your hands.

I looked at the sparkling ocean from my room
And thought of my love for You.
You saved me from my impending doom
And gave me life anew.

I looked at a yellow daisy
On my window sill.
My moods may change, I may act crazy,
But You are holy still.

I looked at the trees that blew,
Bent over by Your breath.
And decided that I will follow You
Even after I meet my death.

I looked at a beautiful portrait
That showed a bloody tree,
And the man who hung upon it
Who is the king of my dreams.

I looked at a flying gull
Alighting upon a branch.
I am forever grateful
You gave me a second chance.
