I'm Sorry

Every single damned step I take
Seems to be another mistake,
And with each misstep, I'm falling.
Who I've been, it's appalling.
I'm Sorry... what can I say, I threw it away
Every time, I walked the line too far to stray...
I say too much, I hold it all in.
Don't never let nobody fall in
To my heart. Why do I try to speak?
I'm too weak, and I'm a sneak,
I've lost myself and found myself, and I never said
I'm Sorry for what I've done and what's ahead.
What can I say, I threw it away,
I walked the line too far to stray...
I've hurt too many people, because I'm afraid to feel the pain.
Then I take all the wrong chances; I failed to explain
Is it too late? Am I sunk and cursed?
I'm ready, so just give me your worst.
I'm Sorry... and I hope you know it's true.
When I say that I never lied to you,
Except when I was lying to the mirror.
Now I think I see it a little clearer.
I'm sorry... Is it too make to make amends?
Or can we at least be friends?
Please...
I'm sorry.
