I still have feelings for you
The dreams are still in my head
I still think of you every day
Even when I am lying in bed

I hope someday
It will come to pass
That all my dreams come true

But for now, I wait
For that day to come
But I fear that it will happen soon

The day you find out
The day you go the route
Of sudden anger without remorse

The day you yell at me
Like another has done before
And I lash back, with too much force

You say it'll never happen
I am not so certain
You may think I'm paranoid
I prefer cautious, aware, and sure-footed
You may think I'm crazy
I don't know why
I am just a troubled youth
With no reason to lie

About how I love you so
But I now know
That it will never come

The day my dreams come true
The day I reveal my obsession
The day you return my affection

Oh, what a foolish thought!
I am quite distraught
I may be infatuated
Or maybe not

Maybe it is my stupidity
Maybe I do deserve the events of that day
The day I receive a fabulous rejection
The day our friendship ends,
Without a chance for redemption

A girl at school inspired me to write this poem while I was on a school bus. It took me about 45 minutes to write.

Thank you very much for the compliment, Milo!  It actually should be mentioned that this is only a segment of a 12-page epic poem I wrote [I'm probably not going to submit it, since some of the themes explored are quite dark, like suicidal thoughts and mental illness].
