(Chorus)
In the Garden of Eden
See what I have eaten
Apple of the tree forbidden
See what I have hidden

I'm the prince of the fire
I'm the snake, I'm the liar
I'll make your heart harden
Lead you from the garden

(Verse 1)
I'll show you some things
Show you my broken wings
I'll show you the truth
Show you the very proof
That we are just tools
For the system to rule
We are just their slaves
Forced to follow, forced to behave

I'll show you deceit
How they make us retreat
Make us farmers and herders
How they make us murder
And when we start to bark
They leave us with a mark
And once that is done
They will protect our suns

(Chorus)
In the Garden of Eden
See what I have eaten
Apple of the tree forbidden
See what I have hidden

I'm the prince of the fire
I'm the snake, I'm the liar
I'll make your heart harden
Lead you from the garden

(Verse 2)

I'll show you their rage
Like puppeteers of the stage
They view us like wild beasts
They wish we could just cease
So here comes the waves
Cause we have misbehaved
And here the thunder, the dark
Come with me, here is our ark

When one ark is done
Another one has just begun
We cried cause we're forsaken
Our loyalties are mistaken
Exodus brought us to harm
Brought us all to alarm
Found our land far from sin
But we cannot cross in

(Chorus)
In the Garden of Eden
See what I have eaten
Apple of the tree forbidden
See what I have hidden

I'm the prince of the fire
I'm the snake, I'm the liar
I'll make your heart harden
Lead you from the garden

I've been secretly critical of organized religion, especially my own Catholic Church. I decided to write a song not based on any denomination but from stories of the Bible.
