A Soft Reply
Though I’ve only known you a short while
I find a feeling like something I’ve felt before
So I ask myself, “Where have I felt this joy before?”
Then I hear a soft reply:
Is this the love reserved for a friend?
Or are you a simple crush?
Maybe even a passionate love.
What kind of pleasure will you bring this tortured soul?
These are the questions buzzing through my brain.
It seems as though they may never be answered.
A busy bewilderment buzzing through my brain
Then I Saw a soft reply:
Your message to me
To comfort one in Pain
You stopped me before it was too late
This I now am thankful for.
I was once in love, and she loved me
But that love was broken, never to be the same
I mourned that loss a tragic night
Then I felt your soft reply:
Your Gentle arms slowly embraced me
No words to describe the comfort I felt
Just softly crying in your arms
Just a simple understanding and a long embrace
