You Never

You always used to love me so so much
You smiled and laughed quite as such
But after the accident took fall
You never were quite so tall
Let people walk over you like a mat
And turn on them and shoot them in the back

You never used to tear me up as hard
You never used to run me quite as far
You never used to cut yourself so deep
You never used to cry yourself to sleep
You never really see me quite as often
You look as if you sleep inside a coffin
You try to wipe the tears from your eyes
And transform into that face I quite despise

‘N now you’re drenched in blood and hate and fear
You never were the same as before my dear
You shoot ‘em up and shoot ‘em down
Pause to turn your face into a frown
Bash ‘em in the face with the butt ‘o your gun
Say, “this is what it’s like where I come from”
You say to me “you’re leading that b****** era”
And down your face is bleeding black mascara

You never used to tear me up as hard
You never used to run me quite as far
You never used to cut yourself so deep
You never used to cry yourself to sleep
You never really see me quite as often
You look as if you sleep inside a coffin
You try to wipe the tears from your eyes
And transform into that face I quite despise

Well another day has gone away
Your dreams used to be a wide array
But lately you wake up eyes wide in horror
You huddle yourself up into a corner
I really don’t know what I’m s’posed to do
I don’t want any heartbreak and nor do you
Or do you really care anymore
Is life now just some pointless bore?
(fading)

You never used to tear me up as hard
You never used to run me quite as far
You never used to cut yourself so deep
You never used to cry yourself to sleep
You never really see me quite as often
You look as if you sleep inside a coffin
You try to wipe the tears from your eyes
And transform into that face I quite despise
