This is a collection of songs I did for my creative writing class :)

The titles are in bold, the songs are below! I did 8 songs, hope y'all enjoy.

Song of the Fiery Storms

They’re making monsters out of heroes

Stealing the prince’s crowns

Tearing them off their pedestals

Trying to bring them down

Masks fall to the earth

The final song shall play

Burned wings bound them to the ground

Broken soldiers forced to stay

And as the choir turns to chanting

The mighty’s heads will bow

A swarm of righteous soldiers

Will begin the battle now

Good men run when the angels join the fight

Rising through the night

Streaks of blood flow as they cry

And the good lord knows

He sent down his very best

Their wrath shall know no rest

Heart torn out of chests

Bringers of the peace

Now they’re tearing foes to pieces

Carnage never ceases

An angel’s joined the war

Blades dance inside the dark

Starry Heavens out of reach

Celestials holding the blood of

Mortals, thousands slain by each

They aren't the lives they want to take

Their body’s not their own

It’s not the choice they want to make

But they must reap what has been sown

And as the choir turns to chanting
The mighty’s heads will raise

Eyes can’t be maps to lost gold

So don’t meet their lifeless gaze

Good men run when the angels join the fight

Rising through the night

Streaks of blood roll as they cry

And the good lord knows He sent down his very best

Their wrath shall know no rest

Heart torn out of chests

Bringers of the peace

Now they’re tearing foes to pieces

Carnage never ceases

An angel’s joined the war

Angels from below

Demons from above

Nobody is safe from them

Hold tightly those you love

Angels from below and

Demons from above

Nobody is safe from them

Hold tightly those you

Good men run when the angels join the fight

Rising through the night

Streaks of blood flow as they cry

And the good lord knows He sent down his very best

Their wrath shall know no rest

Heart torn out of chests

Bringers of the peace

Now they’re tearing you to pieces

Carnage never ceases

An angel’s joined the war

The Past, The Future, And Everything In Between

I’m on the edge of a great new start

Don’t know what to bring besides my racing heart

Who I was isn’t who I’m gonna be

What will she like?

Will she drink the same tea?

Will she love my old trinkets

Find my stories funny?

What will she do?

How does she spend her spare time?

Will she count out her dollars

Every penny, every dime?

The voices of the past are screaming

They’re ringing in my ears

But it’s impossible to move on

Until you let go of your fears

I’m on the edge of a brand new start

Don’t know what to give up and what to set apart

What memories should stay with me

Who’s turn is it to leave?

All I know is: I don’t need to grieve

Is she content?

Is she embarrassed by me?

I bet she cringes when she thinks

About who she used to be.

Is she successful?

Did she stick around?

Is she living out my future

Or did she burn down?
The dreams of my past are riding

On someone I don’t know

Blind faith is all that can get me through

This journey, where I must go

I’m on the edge of a brand new start

Don’t know what to give up and what to set apart

What memories should stay with me

Who’s turn is it to leave?

All I know is: I don’t need to grieve

The past already happened

The future lies ahead

Don’t live inside your memories

Stay in this moment, here, instead

Now is the moment to leave what I’m from

Along the way, I don’t know who I’ll become

The foundation is set, now I must wait

I’ll find out what I’ve done on a later date

She can have her own rebirth

Without putting me into the earth

Comic Relief

Okay I guess I’m doing this whether I want to or not
Great I’m really scared and my face feels really hot

I probably should shut up now and get on with the song

This is a really awkward intro it’s been going on so long

And I probably should apologize

You can’t even see my eyes

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m not a stage performer

I’m not sure if I can do this because

If it isn’t obvious I can’t really write a song
I’m pretty much convinced that I’m doing this all wrong

I’m probably hurting all your ears with my odd singing voice
I don’t know why I’m doing this, wait I didn’t have a choice

I know that my jokes aren't  funny,

But I swear I did try

I just can't do it,

I’m sorry to let you down
(but) I just can't write a song

Is this really only Verse 2,

I have no clue what else to do

My hands (are) starting to cramp

And I really need an amp

‘Cause I feel like I'm being too quiet and that

I kind of sound like a dying walrus

Or maybe a cat that got hit by a bus

I (really) don’t think I can do this because

I don't know how to write a song
I think I might be doing this all wrong
I can't sing all that well
My guitar skills can go to hell
And I’m not very good at performing, I

Am just too freaking shy

I just can't do it, I'm sorry
I just can't write a song

And if I'm being honest I'm really terrified
To be sitting here and singing under all your judging eyes
And I can't really sing, but I’m still gonna try
Because hey that's what we were assigned
So I'm sorry I have no talent

and this is taking too much time

I’m really freaking awkward if you can’t tell

Honestly doing this is my personal hell
I just can't do this because

I don't really know how to write a song
I think I might be doing this all wrong
There's so many things I could've wrote about
But instead I chose to go down this (weird a**) route
Writing about my incompetence to try and relate

But who knows if my weird singing voice will properly translate
I’m sorry that this is boring, I'm slightly bored as well
Because if you can't tell

I don't know how to write a song
I think I might be doing this all wrong
I can't sing all that well
My guitar skills can go to hell
My rhythm’s really off, and I

Just wanna eat some pie

I just can't do it, I’m sorry
I just can't write this song

Anxious Actions

You try to speak out but silence stifles sound

Echo chamber full of words stuffed into a wary frown

Spit out an SOS call to tie you to the ground

Every time you try to fly away your legs are tied and bound

You can’t say you don’t miss the taste of freedom

But I guess it’s easier to sit still and play dumb

You could fly away, so why go back to where you came from

Stares of strangers fade to black as your brain goes blank (numb)

Surrounded and yet so lonely

In a crowd, there's no way to be the only (one)

Claustrophobic when alone

Time to head outside and brave the unknown

New chance, fresh start– head starts ringing the alarm

If only interaction didn’t come with risk of harm

Go out and get a taste of toxic Southern local charm

Bullets shoot from tongues, they don’t need a firearm

You’re getting strung along for a joyride

Just tryin to plant some roots and then get hit with pesticide

There’s only so many hits that one can take before their pride dies

Is it better to be with bad people or run away and hide?

Surrounded and yet so lonely

In a crowd, there's no way to be the only (one)

Claustrophobic when alone

Time to head outside and brave the unknown

Now your sights go to red, overthink what was said

Surrounded and yet so lonely

In a crowd, there's no way to be the only (one)

Sometimes it’s hard, wanna give up and jump ship

Sometimes you just can’t be prepped for the real s***

Maybe if somebody could help you keep your grip

Look up to the sky and scream

I need help

Surrounded and yet so lonely

In a crowd, there's no way to be the only (one)

Claustrophobic when alone

Time to head outside and brave the unknown

Now your sights go to red, overthink what was said

Surrounded and yet so lonely

In a crowd, there's no way to be the only (one)

Pity Party

Enter empty handed

No date, you’re flying solo

It’s easy to be candid

Cause you’re saying what you already know

Pity party

Set the table for one

Who knew that being lonely could be so much fun

Pity party

Raging with the rising sun

Maybe life will get better but for now

The troubles aren’t done

No gifts are required

If you do, you’re just treating yourself

It’s fine to show up tired

Grab a drink from the kitchen shelf

Pity party

Set the table for one

Who knew that being lonely could be so much fun

Pity party

Raging with the rising sun

Maybe life will get better but for now

The troubles aren’t done

Music dies down

The lights are dim

Chances for a dance

Are looking slim

Get on the floor

Don’t look so blue

The best company

Was always you

One’s a party,

two’s a crowd

Three’s a mob

And four’s too loud

One’s a party

two’s a crowd

Three’s a mob

 and four’s too loud

Pity party

Set the table for one

Who knew that being lonely could be so much fun

Pity party

Raging with the rising sun

Maybe life will get better but for now

The troubles aren’t done

New Magic

I’m your soldier on a string

Don’t know the destruction that I bring

It’ll hurt when I see the light

You broke me, altered my brain

I burned through your gold chain

My fire shone far too bright

Don’t look me in the eyes

You’ll see through my disguise

I was never good at trying to hide

You forged me well

From fires of hell

My comeback’s an attack on your pride

I’m a broken man in recovery

Making sure you can’t find me

I hid away from what I did

I realized what you made me do

My memories were not true

Do you realize I was just a kid?

Don’t look me in the eyes

You’ll see through my disguise

I was never good at trying to hide

You forged me well

From fires of hell

My comeback’s an attack on your pride

Hear no evil

Speak no evil

Don’t you see

That you’re just evil

Hear no evil

Speak no evil

See no evil

Am I evil?

Don’t look me in the eyes

You’ll see through my disguise

I was never good at trying to hide

You forged me well

From fires of hell

My comeback’s an attack on your pride

You made me

I saw through you

So now what should we do

You hate that I’m finally free

You made me

But I’m new

There’s nothing you could do

You can’t own me, I’m finally free

start

I have a crush on this nice girl.

She likes her hair straight, but it's always in curls.

She’s constantly reading, entranced by her book.

Try and get her attention, she won't give you a look.

She looks at stars, like they’re her whole world.

When I sang a song, she leapt and she twirled.

She’d play the guitar, though she didn't know how.

When she sang she was careless, not a crease in her brow.

We were never two halves of a split up whole.

She wasn't the missing piece to my broken soul.

But I rather liked the differences that we had.

I never really understood why those could be bad.

People aren't reflections and our hearts aren't made of glass.

They’d shatter far too fast and they wouldn't last.

Hold onto my shaking hand, and I'll hold onto yours.

And together we can walk out the doors.

I have a crush on this nice girl.

Her hair’s really wavy, but she puts it in curls.

She’s constantly singing, drowns out other sounds.

She leaps through the air, keeps her feet off the ground.

She likes to paint but some days she gets stuck.

She goes hunting for clovers, thinks they'll bring her luck.

Her eyes hold the sunlight, the stars in the sky.

And when she runs quickly, she thinks she can fly.

We were never two halves of a split up whole.

She wasn't the missing piece to my broken soul.

But I rather liked the differences that we had.

I never really understood why those could be bad.

Two lonely lovers crossed paths beneath the stars

And the cosmos twisted with us

We talked, shared secrets, and learned

Romance requires trust

You draw circles on my palms and remind me to breathe

It was then that I realized loving you was easy

The moon fell away, giving way to the day

We moved to the music of the dawn

Let’s dance to the start of a new day

Don’t let the last song play

Not thinking ‘bout where time went

Can we stay in this moment,

Underneath the starlight

As we enjoy the end of our night

We hid away in secret

But that didn’t really last

So we ignored the whispers

From the people we passed

I toss you a rose in the middle of the hall

You called me a prince, so I took you to a ball

All sights were on us but my eyes stayed on you

As we talked the whole night through

Let’s dance to the start of a new day

Don’t let the last song play

Not thinking ‘bout where time went

Can we stay in this moment

Where our worries are none

And enjoy the rise of the sun

There’s a world all around us

That we try to ignore

But when the party is over

We’ll walk out the door

There’s time working against us

And though we’d rather not go

When the fates weave our stories

We’ll reap what they sew

There’ll be knotted thread between us

And a million miles

Messages and memories

And forgotten shared smiles

There’ll be us, who feel lost and unsure

Our hands will be empty

Our minds will be full

Both tugging on wrists wrapped in wool

So

Can we dance to the start of a new day

Please don’t make the last song play

Can we stay in this moment

Skip where it went wrong

And enjoy our final song

And enjoy our final song

I'm seventeen, I'm a senior in high school in Northern California. I play 15 instruments, most of which are self taught. I'm trying to expand on my singing abilities.
