Numb, the worst part
Seeping in through your heart
This shadow smothering you
Controlling every part of you
Can’t speak of it
Can’t hide from it
No one knows what you feel
No way to even heal
She hides all around me
She tells me how to be
I can hear her every day
Telling me what to say
She is me now
I don’t dare ask how
She engulfed me
She couldn’t let me be
