Being Depressed is:
Being depressed is what comes after
the anger
It’s a friend of anger, coming before or
after.
Depression

Being depressed is a mocking voice
telling you you’re not good
Enough
Telling you that you’re horrible.

It takes on different voices.

Being depressed is hearing your mom’s voice
You hear the pretend voice of your mom
She's says she’s disappointed in you,
you’ll never amount to anything.
Nothing.

Being depressed is thinking you’re okay
But your brother’s voice says
Why would you ever think that,
You're definitely not okay, you know that
Don’t lie to yourself

Being depressed is your boyfriend’s voice
Telling you
He hates you that he doesn’t love you

And you believe these awful lies.
And you know you shouldn’t.

Being depressed is
Wanting nothing more but to just
Give up. Being done
