Blinding Snow

I discovered something new today
While walking home through the blinding snow
I realized just how beautiful nature can be
I witnessed the artistic show
The ice on the trees tend to take my breath away
I love this fresh beautiful snow
In this moment I wish I could stay
The winter chill nips my neck like a dog
I’ve lost my way home
Through the thickness of this winter fog
Halfway home I noticed the beauty of a single snow flake
Realized just how special and unique it is
Just like grandma’s delicious fruit cake
I’m beginning to lose feeling of my toes
Now that I think about it
I can’t feel my fingers… or my nose
I have only a short distance left
But I have learned many things today
For one nature is beautiful
In every possible way
From blanketed fields to ice topped trees
All the beautiful things you only wish were in your dreams
I realized all of these things because of my journey through the storm
That I notice all these wonderful things
That is far out of the norm

The trip through the blinding snow
Has changed my views completely
I see things differently now
Even if nature does things discretely
The beauty of nature surpasses all
She beautiful during the winter
Don’t even get me started on how she looks in the fall
