what if your life was really a dream
the shadow of heavens gleam
living the only lie you know
letting your true feelings show
your friends and family never there
just what remains to stop and stare
if only you could see what's real
then you would understand your deal
left alone lost in time
being punished for doing a crime
all you did was live your life
or make the true sacrifice
as crazy as it may seem
what if life was only a dream
