i stare through the glass
water rolling down the window
the dim light from the sun
this is the 14th day

the yard is a swamp
the lagoon overfilled, spilling out
houses washed away
this is the 14th day

sleeping afraid your house will be next
landslides more and more occurring
dogs dead, drowned in the downpour
this is the 14th day

people taking shelter on high hills
looking down at the lake beneath them
slowly rising each day
this is the 14th day

The author's comments:
we were in the middle of a huge storm that seemed like it would never end. i had a dream that it was like the 14th or 15th day in the downpour of the angel's tears. i awoke in the morning and grabbed my book and pen and started writing.
