The girl I once knew

there was a girl I once knew
I saw her and my love just grew
she was shy and very smart
this was a brand new start
for me I knew our love was true
but I didn't know what to do
so we talked for awhile it was nice
then came the sacrifice
what was coming I had no clue
the creature inside was coming true
the girl I had loved now gone
I had no clue had to carry on
she ripped my heart thrown away
she didn't hear what I had to say
now all alone lost torn apart
now I'm back to the very start
so the girl I once knew gone
still recovering to carry on
