Inside Of Me is a young black girl
She is wondering why she's in this cold dark world
She cry's to herself many nights
And the things she thinks of give her quite a fright
Deep inside she knows those people were wrong
All she really wants are these thoughts to be gone
Inside of me is a young black girl
Who's very unique like finding a clam with a pearl
Her universe key is her singularity
She's gonna try her best to be the best she wants to be
She's not gonna let the past bring her down
She'll have a smile when their feels like there should be a frown
Because if she blames the world , there is nothing she'll gain
Instead she'll move on & make her own weather
Her own sun , Her own rain
Though she has to live with the memories everyday
And she knows that imprint will never fade away
She'll move her life on , whatever it takes
If she puts her mind to it , anything she can make
Inside of me is a young Black girl
If she just trusts in God
He will get her through all the hard things in the world.
But to speak honestly , that's only half of whats Inside of me.
