Fade Away

I'm walking this narrow path alone
leading me through one more day
where I try to find that happiness
that slowly drifted away

I pass a couple people
but they never say hello
sometimes I want to follow them
to see where they might go

Maybe I'd find my happy place
walking next to one of them
but they too would slowly fade away
and I'd walk this path again.

This is a sad poem, and it describes very well the sadness and loneliness of walking 'your path' alone. I can identify with the feeling and so I see this piece has true and wise.
