The Cost of Love
Here i stand, thrown to the side.
A simple advice man along for the ride.
I look into your eyes while you look in his.
I feel so confused, like this must be a quiz.
This quiz is so cruel, it has no heart.
This test of yours just tears me apart.
You say you love me, and then you love him.
The outcome of this already looks grim.
My emotions are crazy and all over the place.
I close my eyes and it's still that face.
That face looks away, and it dosen't look back.
I guess it's my timing that falls somewhat slack.
There's also this heart and it's not owned by me.
I thought i had a shot, but now i can see.
You're already in love, i never had a chance.
No opportunities await, there's no final stance.
It was over before this love battle started.
The outcome of this has me so downhearted.
But i'll be here still, here another day.
Keeping these crazy emotions at bay.
You try to speak, i understand, it's okay.
It's like you said and that's all i'll say...
