This is a coming-of-age piece that is meant to describe an adolescent's transition into teenage years (and all that comes with it). As with all haikus, the simple form of the poem leaves a lot unsaid and a lot up to interpretation, so I hope anyone reading this poem can find their own meaning in it and be able to relate to it in some way.
