I like your poem, but it's not a true haiku. A true haiku has 3 lines; the 1st and 3rd line have 5 syllables and the 2nd has 7 syllables. Your 1st line has 6 syllables. But I still really like your poem.

Oh wait. If you pronounce poem as 1 syllable then it is 5-7-5. Never mind! (I pronounce it as 2 syllables)
