i.
one side is shorter;
we hold both of her hands, we
hold on for our lives

ii.
she is the reason
that the angle between us
is so damned acute

iii.

formulas, but in the end
we add up to this

Shall I try to decipher the meaning and background of this poem just for old time sakes? The speaker is in love or at least infatuated with the person to whome he/she is talking to. Things should be easy, no? Obviously not. There's a person in the middle of these two helpless lovers. Someone they both love and can't seem to let go, even though it interferes with their relationship. And yet, it seems as though it's working out for all three of them.    Correct me if I'm wrong. My mind loves to wander meanderingly with your poems. I have a feeling each line contains some cryptic code (I know most of mine do, even though most of them are fictional and based on what I see in others and would hope would happen with me. Pathetic, isn't it?).
