In all of my days
Never have I known such a
Kind, smart, funny boy
Whose smile makes me smile
Especially on bad days
Freckles dot his face
Whose eyes aren’t special
But I don’t care; they are
Blue-green; an ocean
Whose hair is like fire
Whose jokes I like to laugh at
Make me feel special
Who talked to me and
Soon became The Boy I Liked
I should have known then
Because I’m a geek
A pushover, imperfect
By any standard
And he, popular
A player, and worst
He has a girlfriend
