Slippery bodies,
drenched and shivering from cold,
swimmers on the block.

Swarm of butterflies,
migrating to the far side,
a cloud in the pool.

Then onto your back,
with jellyfish in your mouth,
counting at the flags.

Caterpillar stroke,
you inch along, scrunch then push,
straining your muscles.

The last leg, front crawl,
once you touch you’re free to crawl,
out on insect legs.

I like this! Very creative. :) I like the fact that it doesn’t sound so blatantly like a poem about swimming. The last stanza was definitely my favorite. Great work!
