Chubby fingers strum
Strings of her mandolin
Hardship belies strength.

This was at first inspired by a picture I saw, of a young girl with the most amazing green eyes in Afghanistan. She held a mandolin in her hands; I believe that anywhere, talent can be found, even in deepest oppression.
