The author's comments:
this was from a digiphoto assignment. I had to use one of my photos and write a haiku about it. I chose a picture of the "love tree" at my school. In elementary school we used to write our crushes names on it. The idea was if you wrote your names on it, you'd end up together. hence the superstition part of the poem.
