this is a haiku about my friend who, years ago, past away. We found he had cancer. He was so strong, though. when i found out, I did nothing but cry my eyes out, but it didn't change him at all. He was tough and faught through it-never cried or complain even once-he was quiet often. I beleive he was in a stage of awe. He told me 2 nights before he died, "don't be afraid for me, be happy. Death is peace, and I will go peacefully. i won't cry, you won't cry and we'll smile at the last minute together". I kept every word he said in that sentence and have savored it for 3 years now. Strength going is in dedication of my late friend Eric, the toughest kid I've ever known.
