Why am I so dark?
What keeps me hiding in the
Shadows and dreading
The bright light of day
Has made me invisible
Why do I stay shunned
From teachers and peers
I am nothing, a waste of
Space, save my writing.
It keeps me focused
It keeps me noticed and it
Keeps me bright and nice.
So I am someone
A light, happy, kind someone
A girl who's someone
