Darkness

i hide in the in the darkness
waiting for the light
I stare into the night
and try to fight
the monsters away
but there is no way out
trapped forever
in a bottomless pit
all the knives stabbing me in the back
as i fought
the darkness drowning me
i lie down
and give up
drowning in my own regret
