Sold Out
I sat in my classroom, waiting for the bell,
Would I make it? Only time would tell.
As soon as I heard that satisfying ring,
I ran out of the school as fast as lightning.
Although the ride was only 5 minutes, it felt like hours,
The only other thing I was wishing for were super-speed powers.
I finally arrive at the store, hearing the greedy shopper’s noise,
Then I run straight to the section marked as “toys”.
I finally see this red glory that I can not live without,
My excitement drains as I see a big red sign saying “sold out”.
