Where I'm From
Where I'm from there’s a house with a remodeled kitchen, squeaky floors, walking along the long beach
shores. Playing with my sister on the soft living room couch
Where i'm from they’re parakeets tweeting. A hamster running on its wheel who never seems to quit, and slow
jazz playing from the Bluetooth bose speaker placed on the kitchen counter
The squeaky floor where I slipped and broke my collarbone. Where I lost my first tooth. Where I play in the
snow in my backyard and sled down a homemade ramp
I'm from running, the smell of grass under my feet, slipping on mud which sticks to my shoes
I'm from the countryside, jumping across hay bails, driving tractors, riding bikes eating foods normally I
` wouldn't eat, cutting grass, catching bass, and driving my grandmother's car
Where I'm from is my home that I know and love
Now tell me, Where's your home?
