Worse Than You Care To Admit
Eyes tired.
Hands worn.
You rub your ears.
You look forlorn.
Lips bruised.
Legs shake.
You say you want
Your head in a lake.
Mind numb.
Heart frozen.
You have lived today.
That is what you have chosen.
Eyes brimmed.
Fingers tight.
Just wait my friend,
For the light.
