From the first pair of cleats that I owned,
And kicking the ball in my house,
I knew this was the one.
When I was 10
I played anywhere
My kitchen, in the backyard, and on the field.
I played constantly anywhere I could
You were the backbone that supported me
Whenever I needed you, you were there
Through the good and the bad times
You cheered me up when I was down
And made the happier every time I kicked the ball
I ran up and down the field-- scoring goals
Playing at Anderson was a dream
But it happened four years later
It had been a ride
From the ball in the house
To goals at Anderson
It has been a pleasure
