If I had a quarter for every time someone asked me for words of wisdom, I'd have enough money to pay for their funeral.

You howl that the light had left you.
The light had abandoned you.
I could see the changes on your person.
Your eyes have lost their comforting light.
The once gentle and kind soul you once possessed, now a twisted harsh soul.
The warmth I used to feel from your touch is gone.
You keep repeating that you have been forsaken, forgotten, abandoned by all you know.
Like a mantra, you repeat that statement even though I protest with every fiber in my very being.
I am still here!
We haven't abandoned you!
Your touch may be as chilling as space, and your eyes may have gone dark, but we still love you!
If you would just listen to me, I still love you.
Damn the light!
It may have abandoned you, but I have yet to give up on you.
Let me be your light, and you will never be abandoned again.
