i'll never know
how does one realize they are in love?
is it a feeling, a certain knowing, or simply following the string of fate?
is it staring into the never-ending pools of your lover’s eyes,
or is it simply saying goodbye?
i suppose i’ll never know, nor will anyone else
as love is indefinite, much like the amount of stars in the universe.
each “i love you” is said in a different voice, a different tone,
a different feeling
it may be impossible to love, or it may be impossible not to love.
there is no finite description of what love is, what love feels like,
and perhaps that's simply the way of things
