Dying to Be the Same
Young people are dying because of their race.
  Forgotten, like abandoned pets.
  It's not fair.
Everyone is the same in different ways,
The texture of their hair, the shape of their eyes, the color of their skin.
  That's what makes them unique.
  And different.
  Why doesn't anyone care?
Those cold nights when people are falling, dying.
Fluffy white snowflakes turn their faces, white.
In the end, everyone looks the same.
  Why do they forget that?
  In the beginning,
All us kids looked the same
  To each other.
