Pretty boy

You said no strings attached.
But now they're here in a web of lies.
Strung up and tangled.
strangling me.
I was a momentary distraction
A temporary temptation
It was a leap of faith.
You called it a "lapse of judgment".
But you're wrong.
What you did was a calculated maneuver.
You said I was perfect.
You said you loved me.
But those lies fell like raindrops and now your time is up.
The sand in the hourglass has fallen.
Settled at the bottom.
Our time together is over.
Now you can see your reflection in the glass.
Do you see what I see? When I look at you?
The pain.
All those words that meant nothing.
Our eyes meet in the hallway and I am filled with an ache.
An ache that makes my heart break into pieces.
Do you feel that pain? When you see me?
Or do you not even look my way.
I was just another pawn in your game.
I guess I should have seen it coming, Mr. popular.
It was out of the blew, it was too good to be true.
I can't wait to see what you do next, whos next?.
I hope they see who you are not who you want them to see.
The real you.
The one who lies and cheats.
Holds people by a string, keeps them locked away until they are useful.
Maybe the next time you should think before you hurt someone.
Just wait till you get played.
Just wait till you're the pawn in the game
