Always kind.
Never rude.
Waiting for my chance to shine.
But without her help that moment would never come.
Waiting and waiting
Doing my best.
Bugged at times
But taking deep breaths.
Finally, I let it all go.
Who cares?
Why should it matter?
Forget her,
Just play.
Lose yourself in the fun and it will come.

I wrote this poem based on the past volleyball season I just had. The setter on my team had something against me no matter what I tried to do for her. Because of her not liking me she chose to never set me. And being an outside hitter it is quite hard for me to succeed and grow as a player if I'm not being set. Instead of worrying about her though, I ended up just deciding to play and do my best whether she chose to help with that or not. I hope that people are able to see this not just applying to volleyball, but to life as well. Even though it might help when someone is doing their part as well, it is sometimes better to not worry about them and do things for yourself.
