Easier to shred into anguished pieces than a sheet of paper;
Easier to shatter into diminutive shards than annealed glass;
Easier to snap than skinny sticks in sylvan sanctuaries;
Easier to crumble than a crushed chocolate-chip cookie;
But it is nothing more than a
Flimsy, flustering fragment of fractured flesh,
With no purpose to serve other than to be
b r o k e n
