The Good Dog
The good dog with a heavy coat
Of black and white scatters around
Was with my family
For thirteen years
And living
In my room
Barking at the door
When he needed something
Becoming old and blind
He walked into things
But smart
Mapping out the
house in his head
Winnings when he was younger
He was shown by my brother
All over the country
Winning big trophies
And medals
And inducted to the agility Hall of Fame
Becoming sick
Expected with his age
The vet said it was his time
Living longer than we expected
I thought we are going to live together
I buried him in backyard
The good dog was in heaven
