Holding the World in My Hands
I thought I had the world in the palm of my hands
But my hands are so small
That it all slipped out
Through my fingers
Leaving nothing
I keep grabbing and grabbing
hoping I can get it all back
But I can’t
I fall into despair
Then I felt something
Something small
When I saw it
I realized it was me
I held on to it
As long as I could
But it slipped through my grasp as well
I once held the world in my hands
But now it is gone
Far far away
Where I cannot reach
