What?
Have you ever met someone
So terrified of the silence
They just make noise constantly
They tap a pencil
Or babble loudly about random things
Or hum.
I would be
If I could hear those things.
Everything seems so quiet all the time
I talk to myself out loud
But sometimes couldn't even understand what I said
Every week came a new test
Trying to find a new solution
Solutions are so expensive
I got devices in my ears
So I could hear what you say to me.
Everything is so loud now.
Every little sound.
The tapping of that frickin pencil.
That kid over there that talks SO loud.
Why are they humming?
The lesson I obtained
Was that
Everything I went through
Was only to learn
That I loved the silence.
