Embrace
We long for a warm embrace,
Another to hold us dear,
To cherish us until we part.
We shirk from danger,
We shy from the light,
We fear what we want.
We hate like no other,
We lie, cheat, we abandon,
We do that which is wrong.
We still long for happiness,
We grasp for the feeling of joy.
We are constantly searching.
Why do we do this,
Why when it could be so easy,
Why is it never so?
We all need to love,
We need to be loved,
We do not want to hurt.
Pain is inevitable,
Love and be loved now,
Or you may never be.
