Firmament Prince
Polaris incarnate
An enchanter, a stranger in paradise
His hair dark golden copper
Tendrils curling, captivating, choking
The thundering tick of his heart deafens me
His smile shoots daggers
His laugh is ice in my veins
Engulfing and piercing my heart
His voice a rushing river
gentle words frigidly flow away
And fade before me
He's always there in front of me
shining with the warmth of the sun
Blinding and eclipsing
He is cruel in his ignorance
He throws me a blade and with it I slice myself
My blood invisible under his nails
The flames rise and ashes will remain
His waves throw me overboard
Filling no void but filling with jealousy
He is a hunter and I remain hidden in the shadows
He was and never will be mine
Yet I still grasp for him
He lingers in dreams and the corners of eyes
Always at the top of my lungs
Always just out of my reach
