4 little things

April 19, 2018

A dream
A shadow
A wish
And a slumber

All put together
Become such a cumber

Dancing about
On wings made of lace
My mind taken captive
In this strange new place

Outside the window
Out I peer
Into the changing
Atmosphere

A darkened forest
Grows even near
And will soon take over
My tower I fear

I pray so hard
For it to recede
But nary an inch
Ignoring my plead

I awake in the night
And what could it mean?
The answers are out there
But yet to be seen.

A dream
A shadow
A wish
And a slumber
