Everything That Begins
A silver flower, floats down from the sky
falling from the heavens.
The wind catches it, it flies away
towards a shadowed sun.
I cannot understand why,
everything that begins
that I want to stay
tries to run.
Why must it all die?
Everything goes, unfastens
from the earth’s bright day
leaving me with emptiness that weighs nearly a ton.
When people walk by,
all they see is one of many maidens,
they do not see me as I may
truely be, a curse that cannot be undone.
People do not hear when I cry
quiet, from the depths. I guess it depends
on what creatures call them prey.
I don’t know what preys on me, the people only shun.
I cannot understand why,
everything that begins
that I want to stay
tries to run.
