The Girl with Blue Eyes
The girl with the blue eyes
had always captivated me
with her bright smile and blonde curls.
She knots her hands in mine
and grips with such anxiousness,
like a heavy force is trying to pull us away.
She is afraid when you look into her eyes,
yet she beams constantly.
All it took was one question to rip apart the cerulean orbs
and have them flush like a river into a sea of uncertainty.
The paper mache that once colored her face
had washed away with the tears.
