Dawn comes with the sweet, soft smell
of a eucalyptus and mint candle
filling fresh, May air.
Like the dawn,
you fill my mind with thoughts
hushed pink and orange?
calming, hopeful.
Slow like a symphony,
your eyes carry images of home
to my heart.
Holding and waiting and wishing for you…
nothing arrives.
But you,
like the dawn,
fill my mind with thoughts
hushed pink and orange.
Calming.
Hopeful.
