I know why you do it
My mom said
I see your pain
She always says that
Nobody is here mom
Can you
Hear me
I think nodding my head as if my neck was numb
Or maybe even broken would help
Lips sealed shut nothing and nothing going through my mind
But that word
It's not your fault mom
I think
Its his
I can't bare say the word dad
As if letting that word roll off my tongue upon my lips i would have done a sin
That word is for a protector
A person who won't leave because of pressure
I know your hurt she says
That hurt gave me a spark
That became a flame
That went Insane
I stand here because of that hurt
That hurt and pain got my heart pumping blood flowing
I'm Alive
And i will not let that hurt define me

I really connect with personal poems, so i wrote a poem about my dad I dont talk about him to anyone. So If me writing this inspires someone else im glad i did.
