I have crawled up from the rubble,
Of a city destroyed.
And stood above those who would
repurpose me.

I might rust,
And bend,
And chip apart.

But I can weld myself back together.
I might not be as pretty,
but I'll be strong.
Maybe stronger than before.

I am iron,
And I will not yield.
